Wow, I hate to say it, as a big FUNimation supporter...but Sentai wins this round for me. Razz

Yes, FUNi nabbed some bigger named stuff, but I'm an old fan of s-CRY-ed, and really want to get a newer copy since some of my discs skip, so...yeah. Definitely double-dipping there, even if I don't like the show as much as I used to. And I've been wanting to see Kurokami too, so this works out great.

Just please, Sentai, I will freakin' lick your boots clean for you, if you throw me a bone and license the s-CRY-ed anniversary film things and throw them on here too. Or at the very least, preserve the extras from the old s-CRY-ed discs.

You missed listing a couple of titles.

They also got Brain Powered, Overman King Gainer, and Big O II.

I already own several of those, but I'll probably pick up Zegapain, Betterman and The Girl Who Leapt through Space since I completely missed out on them. Infinite Ryvius might be a possibility too, provided they manage to get a better looking version out.

Seems like the biggest show Sentai got out of the deal was Big O. Some of these just pop up with a "huh? why did they license these?" question. Because I don't remember Argento Sama, Betterman or Z Mind being hits for Bandai when they had them.

But at least we'll finally be able to get complete collections of Kurokami & Zegapain now at a decent price. Since most of Zegapain's discs & Kurokami's final volume are hard to find and expensive.

Looks like Sacred Seven will finally get a release here. Remember seeing something about Bandai licensing it, but it never got a release here before they closed up shop.

Guessing both Funimation & Sentai are still talking to them about licensing Gundam. Also wondering if someone is going to pick up My Hime/My Otome series.

So far the answer is no.

Funimation is currently having their panel at Otakon as we speak. Gotta play the waiting game.

I'm so glad that Betterman is being brought back. As a GaoGaiGar fan, it's great to see that I can soon acquire its sister series for a price that isn't outrageous.

But, yeah, Please Teacher would be nice, too...

Great shows. I own most of them and want most of the others.

Awesome to see they'll be available again.

If they release OKG on blu-ray since it recently got one in Japan I will definitely double dip.

Also, it's going to be awesome to finally get Zegapain since I had the complete set preordered before it got cancelled.

As mentioned in the first post, it would be cool if they put out that s-CRY-ed film.

Like with the Funi ones I guess I'll be looking at reviews to see if any of these re-releases are better either due to better DVDs or getting BDs since it's been so many years since some of these got their old DVDs that I own.

Excited to hear about S-Cry-Ed and Big O, as I have not seen either of these and I know they are considered classics. If they get a good release with a good price I'll definitely consider picking them up!

Not as exciting as the Funi acquisitions to me, but I'll still buy some of the stuff mentioned. It's a shame there's been no mention of Galaxy Angel.

Really happy to see Overman King Gainer get picked up - it's been long out of print and expensive even while Bandai Entertainment was still around, which was killing me since it's a show I often want to recommend to people. It's fun!

Before the update I was thinking, "One thing we won't see getting picked up is Brain Powered..." But, it does seem like I can never predict how people will react to that show, so it's cool to see it out there again. I kept changing my mind as it went on, but ultimately warmed to it. I don't suppose that ever got a Blu-Rays?

I too am with you there, as Onegai Teacher has been on my must have list since I first read about it in an old issue of Beckett Anime Collector.

Still, today was a good day for the saving of many good shows.

I wish Big O could get a BD remaster, I'd double dip and buy that immediately.
