I'd take that with a grain of salt. It might be real, but I've yet to find anything that leads me to believe that it is. I'll wait and see if a legit site like Gunota picks it up and ascribes a concrete source to it, rather than just the vague "a magazine" (which is quite obvious just from looking at the image).

Well based solely on the pic, it appears Athrun and this girl (who in most likely-ness isn't Cagalli) has 2 kids with her, and expecting a third (if you look closely, i think thats what it is).
It makes you really hope that the writers aren't just screwing around with the storyline to keep the viewers interested...anyways the rumor i heard for this is that its supposed to air in the fall, so i guess just wait for the press release

It's 100% fake. It's a piece of fan art altered and text added. A copy of the original fan art is here http://img306.imageshack.us/my.php?image=minito23dc.jpg.
Random Curiosity Blog posted this earlier today (they weren't sure what was going on either) and now they have the original fan artist or their friends (I can't tell for sure which one) upset because the original picture is clearly Cagalli/Athrun, where whoever altered the picture tried to turned it into Meryin/Athrun  .
So it's yet another hoax, just like Gundam SEED Eternity was. |

Yeah, this one's pretty much a complete hoax. Personally, I don't really see them tying Athrun down to any one woman yet. He's kind of like Gundam SEED's "sexy loner;" he's the type that they'll tease with just about every major female character in the show (Lacus, Cagalli, Lunamaria, Meyrin, Meer,...Murrue, Natarle, Fllay, Talia, Ezalia, Yoon, Mina, Erica, The Professor, Kisato, Aisha, Eyepatch Matilda, etc.) just to keep the fans that are into that sort of thing titilated.
And if they do what they did to him in SEED Destiny and completely reset his character arc, effectively voiding all of the development he underwent in the first series, you can be doubly sure he's going to wander around in womanland for a while...at the same time blindly succumbing to the wiles of a charismatic madman and having no idea what to do with himself and turning to Kira to answer every question he has about life (after getting pissed at him and fighting him to the near-death, of course). |

Hey it doesn't matter if theres gonna be a sequel to SEED Destiny or not you can pretty much just anticipate the following:
1. Returning characters from the previous series. 2. Somewhat interesting beginning. 3. Overcrowded cast leading to under development of the new cast. 4. Bigger, Better, and Shinier Mobile Suits, 5. Even more copied Mobile Suits. 6. Bigger Battles. 7. New masked villain. 8. Even more tentions between the Earth Alliance and ZAFT. 9. Atypical Kira and Athrun and now Shinn, 10. Another Archangle look-alike with more weapons. Did I mention this is what I expect in the first 5 episodes? "Believe it!" - IchigoK90 |

lol, how the hell do you get shinier than a gold plated/coated gundam? Although I have a feeling that the 3rd GS will probably have lots of that, ie, plenty of rehash conflicts, ahtrun v kira.... again, secret and unrequited/unrealized loves, blah blah blah. but honestly, I'm still hoping it'll turn out to be good.... one way or another... |

Haha the gundam is gonna be soo shiny that when it reflects the light its gonna seem like its invisible. LOL. But yeah I forgot to mention this in what I expect:
