So excited about this! I've always wanted to own Princess Nine, but unfortunately was unable to get the ADV release before the license ran out (I remember seeing ads for it on my ADV Sailor Moon DVDs, as well as Nadesico ), so I love the fact I'll finally get to see it!
Never seen Cat's Eye, but have seen references to it in many manga and have heard it likened to being a 70s classic, so hopefully it'll be a pleasant discovery~ Would truly love it if we saw a complete release of the Lupin III series and Legend of the Galactic Heroes (come on rightstuf, make it happen...!) |

I'm not particularly interested in Cat's Eye, but it's a very Nozomi title and the kind of thing I'm glad to see get a chance.
I am, however, very interested in Princess Nine. I remember it getting raves way back when that caught my attention and I've been wanting to see it for a while, but not strongly enough to go through the bother of buying ADV's release. A fresh set from Nozomi might be just what I want. Bravo, Dark Lord, bravo. You know, I've noticed it's Nozomi announcements that I get the most excited about. Part of it's probably the simple theatrics of the 'COMING SOON' site, but there's something about their licenses that makes them more intriguing than Sentai or FUNImation ones. Perhaps it's they're a little quirkier, unpredictable and aimed at narrower, but more intensely interested audiences.
The latter might be the only way that they could equal getting The Rose of Versailles. |

Wouldn't it, though? I've never seen LotGH in in its entirety like with Versailles, but have heard it is a true bonafide classic of anime. I think a company like rightstuf would be perfect for it, as they are kind of the champions of obscure, classic, and fan-favorite titles, and give their releases a "new coat of fresh paint," so to speak. Is there a reason LotGH never got released stateside? I don't think the creator has a problem with the U.S. and anime the way Ikeda did... |

Whoa, sweet. I've always heard great things about Princess Nine, so I'll definitely have to pick that up at some point. I'm also interested Cat's Eye, as I've heard good things about it in the past too.

"Another major character is the female version of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of Japan"
Far from the first. He was the first of the Tokugawa Shoguns. The first shōguns, or more properly Sei-i Taishōgun, were special generals in the Heian Period commanded to subdue northern tribes not under the direct control of the Enperor. The first shōgun to actually take political power of the country was Minamoto no Yoritomo in 1192, Ieyasu became shōgun in 1603. EDIT, ADDED: My friend Ono-san in Tokyo has emailed me that I'm not quite right. A few months before the Heian Period started was when the first Sei-i Taishōgun was given the position my the Emperor. Princess Nine deserves the rescue and will probably be a purchase for me. Thanks, Nozomi/RS!

For the record, Sengoku Collection is much more than it appears on the surface.

All misses for me. Especially the latter two. Hope they sell well for TRSI/Nozomi so they can continue to license more titles.

I've been watching aquastar831's live streams of every industry panel, and Right Stuf's has definitely been the best. I love Shawne - he keeps things fun with good humor. And the Q&A was interesting as well.
And I totally threw my fist in the air when I heard the Princess Nine music play. I already own the series, though I may just buy it again, because it's the Right Stuf, baby (Ooooo)!

Had no idea Princess Nine had such love. Even among luckswing anime fans, it's never really been brought up like Touch or other baseball series.
Adding to what Sengoku Collection is really about: no, it's not WHAT IS HAMBURGER, WHAT IS BRAVE NEW WORLD!!!!, it's a bunch of independent episodes of various Sengoku personalities in doing 21 minute long film parodies/homages. If you claim otherwise, you either haven't seen it or you've other seen the first episode, an homage to Roman Holiday.
