Sunday Without God (Kamisama no Inai Nichiyōbi) (TV) Genres: adventure, drama, mystery, psychological, supernatural Themes: death, grave keepers, parallel universe, tragedy Plot Summary: God abandoned the world on Sunday. As a result, nobody in the world can die or reproduce. A little girl, Ai, is the gravekeeper for a village. She has prepared 47 graves for the eventual deaths of every member of the village. Later, a boy who identifies himself as "Hampnie Hambart, the 'Man-eating Toy'," which is coincidentally the name that Ai's mother left behind as the name of her father, arrives in the village and slaughters everybody. Just what is going on? ---------------------------------- Anime Marathon Discussion (Nov. 6th, 2015 - Nov. 15th, 2015) starts here ---------------------------------- EP 1 A loli grave keeper is new one for me. That was an interesting first episode. Although I was confused about the death and grave keeper concept. People stopped dying after God left, so God leaves behind grave keepers to grant dead people a peaceful slumber. That is contradictory, unless it is also the job of grave keepers to kill off these "zombies". |

Episode 1
Can't see what excuse the guy will have for shooting everyone, will likely have to watch to see that reason. Ai is cute, for some reason she made me think of some sort of morbid version of Sakura (the cardcaptor). I like how she spoiler[claimed to try and stop them while having sweets in her mouth.] All I needed was her opinion of what her father was like and I am sold about her character. |

It seems that god lost hope on humanity and stopped the human evolution by blocking their reproduction. However, he was merciful enough to create the ones who would be responsible to kill (the white-haired boy) and the ones who would grant a peaceful rest to the dead (the hakamoris). That was what i understood |

First episode was okay I guess. The concept is definitely something I have interest in but I'm not so sure on its execution. For one thing, I sense both a hybrid of fantasy and tragedy. Otherwise, I have my eyes on this show for now. Oh and Ai-chan is cute imo. I just hope she can carry out her task as a gravekeeper like the way she dedicates herself to do.

Not bad, I'll probably keep up with it. I hope it stays pretty fantasy. Some of the shots in there looked a little modern. And Aki Toyosaki yay!

Ai is really cute.
Hope this won't turn into a loli thing. That Humbert looks like an interesting guy. The story has potential. It all depends which way it'll go. So far it looks interesting so I think I'll be watching this. |

OH MAI GAWD.
This anime is gorgeous. Ai is adorable. The lead guy is hot. The concept is interesting. I loved their exchange! spoiler["You....are very pretty!!" "........um....thank you?"] ROFL. Hello, my new favorite summer series!!
Haha YES. My friend would kill me for this (she worships Sakura) but I think Ai is even cuter. Ai is what happens if you spliced Sakura's and Eve/Yami's DNA together to make a kid.
If you mean loli thing as in loli fanservice, I don't think you have to worry. If you mean loli thing as in romance between Ai and a certain older guy, I HOPE IT DOES. <3 ...........I have problems. :'D |

I love age-gap couples. I dunno why. :'D I got into them after seeing FLCL....
Somehow they're cuter than when the chars are the same age. Last edited by Chiibi on Mon Jul 08, 2013 11:03 am; edited 1 time in total |
