Chou Kuseninarisou (TV) (#1279) has as an alternate title "L'Ídol Nagisa: com m'agrada, tot això!", which is entered as English. Google Translate pegs it as Catalan—which is not currently available. Would an editor please be so kind as to correct this and to check the contributor's other submissions?

There are quite a few anime and manga in Catalan, and many Catalan don't like being called Spanish. Right now there are language requests of:
Afrikaans Catalan Norwegian Thai Czech Vietnamese Finnish Hungarian I suggest starting with those with licensed products and/or broadcasting rights, not just "fans who speak that language call it that way" titles. |

I'm sorry—I think you're missing my point. The alternate title was entered as English. It is not. It is in Catalan. I did not enter this title. Until such time as Catalan is authorized for the Encyclopedia, this title needs to be hidden.
Also, I suspect that the contributor who entered the title may have entered more Catalan titles as English titles. I am not able to check this. So I am requesting that an editor, such as yourself, check it, and make any appropriate corrections. Please accept my apologies for using simple language, but I want to be clearer than my last post apparently was. |

It's certainly not the first time people have sidestepped the lack of a particular language - sometimes people even put catalan or whatever in brackets in the title. None of the languages dormcat lists are available as an option yet and Dan was talking about adding them since people are bypassing the system like this anyway, I'm not sure if that is still in the pipeline.
In this case it appears the title is correct (or at least there does exist a Catalan dub) since we have staff and companies listed. A useful tool for identifying a language is http://open.xerox.com/Services/LanguageIdentifier |
