I just wanted to see if alot of characters in the many diverse anime look alike. Here are some that really looked alike:

Vincent from Cowboy Bebop: Knocking On Heaven's Door and Zangetsu from Bleach look much alike in my opinion. And they dress the same as well.

Manaka Junpei from Ichigo 100% and Ichigo 100% OVAS looks alot like Hideki Motosuwa from Chobits. At least when their mouths are open wide in shock.

Then theres also Sakura from Card Captor Sakura and Sakura from Reservoir Chronicle: Tsubasa. Its like their the same person. Its like they were drawn to look like each other. Amazing really.

Since those two series were both made by CLAMP, it's possible that they were SUPPOSED to look alike. Wink

Unless I'm mistaken, Tsubasa (or, at least its manga incarnation) features a cast comprised almost entirely of past CLAMP characters from various series re-introduced as characters in this new setting. The Sakura from Card Captor Sakura and the Sakura from Tsubasa are the same character, in the same way that, say, the Natsuki in Mai-HiME and the Natsuki in Mai-Otome are the same character. Same, but re-imagined to suit a new, alternate reality.

Don't forget everything ever done by Rumiko Takahashi. Inuyasha=Ranma, Ryouga=Koga. I know she didn't do just those 2 titles but their just examples.

In many of Shinchirio Watanabe's work's many of the characters look alike. Anime Insider did a character comparison between Cowboy Bebop and Wolf's Rain and showed that many of the character's were very similar. (At the same time though it was the same character designer to work on both shows.)

Also in the movie Akira it took me watching it twice to finally be able to destinguish between some of the characters because some of them look so alike.

Osamu Tezuka reused many characters for other manga. For example:
Astro Boy's Astro looks a lot like Kennichi in Metropolis. (the anime anyway, I haven't read the manga)
Astro Boy's Shunsaku Ban (forgive me if my spelling is incorrect) also makes appearences in Metropolis. And Ban's former (at least, former in Metropolis) dog Pero was the center of a story in Astro Boy.
I remember there was an article about this in Anime Encycolpedia. Maybe Google Print has a scan...

I think Shuu-chan from Honey & Clover looks like Shinbo from Chobits and Spike from Cowboy Bebop (except his hair is longer), or maybe it's just me Wink , as for CLAMP's Tsubasa Chronicle... no need to explain d:p... oh one more popular character and that's Umi from Magic Knight Rayearth... she seems to have resemblance to many anime character. (Maybe because she can be considered as a standard style of drawing? [flat bangs and long hair] or maybe it's just me again... ) Laughing

Kei Kusanagi from Onegai Teacher and Keitaro Urashima from Love Hina look almost exactly alike. To my knowledge, Ken Akamatsu had nothing to do with the Onegai series.

Also Meg from Bakuretsu Tenshi looks alot like Asuka from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

That girl in Futari Ecchi looks alot like Rei from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Jo from Bakuretsu also looks like Rei from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Neo from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny looks alot like Rau Le Creuset from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, like Zechs Marquise from Mobile Suit Gundam Wing and Char Aznable from Mobile Suit Gundam. What an amazing resemblance. Coincidence?

Get the joke?

So then, is there going to be an actual point or discussion to this thread, or is it just going to be mindlessly listing characters that look vaguely alike with some vague attempt at sarcasm?

And of course let us not forget the master of the single character design, Hisashi Hirai, designer for Scryed, Infinite Ryvius, Fafner, and the two SEED series. Take any dozen male characters from those series, put them in a hat, jeans, and a t-shirt, and try to tell which comes from which show.Wink The same works with female characters too.
