I never knew I even wanted short-haired Bayonetta.

That is by far the most ridiculous design I have ever seen. Even more than Yugi's hair.

Great I guess. However I won't be buying it because it's only released for the Wii U which is kind of odd since the original Bayonetta wasn't available for the Wii nor have I heard anything about releasing it for the Wii U. Kind of odd for the Nintendo to want this game for their console so bad that they'd partner with the developers.

I'm a little disappointed that it looks more like dlc or an expansion than an a sequel.

Sega had no interest in distributing the game as the first didn't sell what they were expecting. Platinum Games needed a new distributor and Nintendo wanted some more "hard-core" games for its system. The two pairing up makes sense.
Bayonetta may not have a been a huge seller, but it has a fairly strong fan base. I know several people, myself among them, who are considering picking up a WiiU primarily for Bayonetta.

It might take a while for me to be able to look at short-haired Bayonetta and go "that's Bayonetta". But, I like her new design, and this is my main reason for picking up a WiiU (even before Smash, Mario Kart, and SMTxFE, all of which are franchises I LOVE).

I do want to play this game eventually, but its not enough to make me drop 350 dollars on a paper weight, and then another 75 on an external harddrive.

Yes everything else changes but the "da a$$" stays the same. Suddenly I'm thinking of borrowing ideas from Blood-C. C'mon people she's a hair witch. First people complained that they didn't like her beehive because it made her proportions odd now...well ah... I just want to see more of the craziness so I really don't care one way or another. Maybe if her had let her hair down it would have proportioned out "da buttocks".

Her new design is even better than the original one, in my opinion (and I already liked the previous one).
To people complaining about this game being a Nintendo exclusive: you should thanks Nintendo since they produced the game, i.e. they gave Platinum the money to make it, otherwise there wouldn't be a Bayonetta sequel at all.
Probably, Nintendo wanted it since Bayonetta was one of the best action games in the previous gen, and they needed to cover that genre on Wii U. They also seem to have a really good relationship with Platinum Games in general, since they are making Wonderful 101 too, another Wii U exclusive that will come out this summer (Bayonetta 2 is expected to come out in 2014).

All I know is that I'm not so poverty or petty that I'll complain about the thing being exclusive.
(I already have the thing, so I'm all set... though, my laziness has prevented me from procuring my system from my living room floor for the last couple of months... it's that same laziness that has prevented me from getting my PS3 back into my room, because I don't want to have to pack it all up again when I head out to the east bay Freedemonia crack house)
Just, damn, make games that I want to play lol

Atsushi Inaba is a [expletive] legendary producer. God Hand and Vanquish are the best games in their genres.
Platinum games are here to save us from the cinematic bullshit that this industry is releasing lately.

Yes. So much yes.
Been replaying God Hand recently and that game is still amazing.
I'm gonna miss Mikami when he retires.
