Trying to remember some anime (help me)

I am trying to find some of the first anime I saw back when Scifi channel was showing them. Specifically, does anyone have a complete list of the movies and/or series shown or do you know a place that I could describe the very vague memories I have of them and get an idea of what I might have seen? It's for (fairly recent) nostalgia's sake.
