Heard this news weeks ago, it's gon' be so gud, a dream team of director, designer, and studio. Glad it's confirmed to be the new TV series and not just an OVA like I thought.

A bare bones remake is not exactly a "diamond"

Well if Maken-Ki! can get a sequel, then maybe Ben-To can also get a sequel? Wink

Well, I guess this will be coming in the Fall. As it's kinda late to announce for a Summer release and it seems Xebec have nothing but those 2 To Love-ru Darkness OVAs coming out around then. Plus would be the 2 year mark when the 1st season aired.

Although, who wanted this? Even for a fanservice show, that 1st season was poorly executed.

I almost think this was a chosen project by the top people involved instead of just another committee production. It's too much of a dream team to be haphazardly picked.

First season was kinda bad, yeah, if they had stuck with the same team I'd probably somewhat agree. But, given the change in director and designer, I now desire this and wait with great enthusiasm. I want it.

Sorry to disagree but this series is good, the first season was fine and well done in both design and story, it is of course a bit over the top for Western viewers but for the audience it was designed for, ie normal Japanese audience it is very good indeed perfectly what it is. The art style is strong, the characters fun and the ecchi is just great. I liked it very much and have watched it a number of times already. I am very glad to see a second season is happening, i was sure it would from the start.

Glad that they see the good in it, and along with High School DxD this genre is strong and getting better. I make no apologies for enjoying it, liking it aesthetically and enjoying the ample female characters. There is nothing wrong at all with large breasted ladies. Nothing at all.

I have mixed feelings about this, but overall I am pretty excited Smile The crew behind Kanokon and Ladies vs. butlers is good and all, but those designs are not too faithful to the originals from Hiromitsu Takeda's manga. The first series adapted his work quite faithfully into anime and was one of my favorites from last year, but I will be looking forward to this.
