In fact, it's not. Anyway, you have to tell us the operating system and browser you are using, along with their version number and language, before anyone could help you. |

Then it would be very easy. If all you need is reading Japanese texts on web pages, just install Japanese support of MSIE, which is freely downloadable at Microsoft through Windows Update / Microsoft Update. |

Probably your browser already supports Japanese, but the problem is that most Japanese websites are made by people who assume you are using a Japanese OS and that your browser will automatically detect the encoding. You have to select the menu View > Encoding > Auto-select. And if that doesn't work you'll have to select one of the Japanese encodings yourself (typically it's Shift-JIS)

I would download the Japanese support and set text encoding to automatic. To install Japanese text support, get your Windows CD and put it in the CD/DVD drive, go to the Start Menu --> Settings --> control panel, click on Regional and Languages Options. When that pops up click on Launguages tab, checkmark "Install files for East Asian Langages", click OK. Windows will now install appropriate files from the Windows CD, and when its done, reboot. If that's already checkmarked, you have it installed. For text auto selection, go to the Internet Explorer view menu --> Encoding --> Click on Auto Select. |
