An advantage to being out of R1?
I find it humorous to see Australia being described as a Western country relative to Japan.

This just makes me REALLY want someone to pick up Code Geass from Bandai and give it a BD release for Region 1.

Relative to Japan, the US is in the Far East.

25 episodes on only 2 discs?

Really, it's something Bandai should've done themselves 3-5 years ago, as soon as the Japanese side felt they were reasonably safe from reverse imports. Instead, Sunrise/Bandai were content to let their DVD-only R1 releases compete with downloaded Blu-Ray rips. Same story with Gundam 00.

Yep, it seems to be using the same BD materials from Kaze.
Released in Europe and the UK by Kaze/Manga UK.
I was quite worried about the limited disc number myself, but the quality is actually very good.
You can check out some reviews and screens on the web of the UK release.

This is actually pretty big news! Maybe Madman will eventually open a U.S. branch, thereby giving the middle finger to Bandai Entertainment USA once and for all!
In the meantime, I imagine Australian Blu-Ray imports wouldn't be THAT bad!
