I have been writing a comic/manga for over 5 years, and I've yet to connect with an artist (we did once, but he moved and we never heard from him again), so can someone give me some advice on what to do?I'm completely lost.
P.S. It involves existing characters.If anyone knows about character licensing, please do tell me what to do, I know basically nothing about the business. |

It sounds like you're doing a doujin right now. Another user tried to find an artist for a manga/comic, and the thread can be found here. I dunno, I'd try DeviantArt.com or something.

I would suggest checking out http://www.digitalwebbing.com/talent/ with the talent search you can post a classified or post on their forum. It's a pretty cool site for burgeoning comic creators and the like.

Doujinshi = anything self published.
It sounds like you are making 'fan' doujinshi, which is called a 'parody' book. I wrote an article way back about securing artists for this purpose as I have produced [and I don't mean web comics or staples] about 10 titles of parody books since 2003.  http://gynocrat.org/articles/article1.doc
