I wonder if Zero Desigze will be set in the GE999/Captain Harlock universe.

I just hope it's not CG.

knowing Matsumoto it does take place in the same universe and will give me a headache because of it.
The part in the interview where he talks about casting Harlock i found funny when I read it the other week.

I'm just wondering how you can do a LA GE999 without going over-budget and summarizing it in one movie. That kind of thing is not as easy in non-animated form.

Nice, I've enjoyed the Matsumoto scifi stuff I've seen and space-setting scifi hasn't seen much attention lately outside of the two awesome most recent Gundam projects (00 and Unicorn), looking forward to a new series/OVA, hope it sounds interesting when we hear what Zero Desigze actually is and is about.

Although it's not yet indicated on what "Zero Desigze" is about, I'll watch any Sci-fi epic by Leiji Matsumoto, regardless of whether or not it is to be set in the Harlock/GE999 universe. Look forward to hearing more updates on the project, including character and mecha info.

He should get Shinichiro Miki to play Harlock.
Then the circle will finally close.
The first Roy Mustang voice, Toru Okawa, played Roy with an eyepatch at some point. Shinichiro Miki, who played Lockon Stratos in Gundam 00, who also had an eyepatch at some point, played Roy Mustang in Brotherhood.
Anyway, I really think Miki has what it takes to play the role, but the eyepatch thing is icing on the cake.
