in volume seven of read or die tv, the guy mentions a sequel in the commentary. plus, in the other special features, the previews of episode 25 and 26, they mention a movie sequel. I checked online, and found nothing but hopes and rumors, and no one seems to know anything for sure. I have a feeling the commentary guy and the preview were just joking around. it was a "see you in the sequel" type thing. I mean they never did make "spaceballs 2: the search for more money," right? spoiler[ plus they left the 2 huge mysteries of what happened to Joker and the statue after the credits, as if they were setting up a sequel. ] then again, most of the series do that (grrr!!) in hopes of being bubblegum crisis and making one season per decade. I don't know! I NEED to know! I NEED more read or die!!!

You may want to put spoiler tags in your post for those who, like me, have not finished the series yet.

As for a sequel, continuations of stories have also been mentioned before in interviews on DVDs with seiyuu (voice actors/actresses) for such series as Witch Hunter Robin and Heat Guy J. And I have not seen anything on a sequel to these series anywhere online. But, then again, the seiyuu are not the ones who get to decide if a series going to be revisited or not.

Since there is also a movie, there is the possibility of a sequel to the movie. Not out of the question, I suppose. I haven't watched the entire R.O.D. series yet though so I can't say for certain.

sorry if I spoiled anything, I tried to leave it as vague as possible. I didn't think I was giving anything away. and BTW, as I am rewatching it, I remembered that the statue is just from episode 10 and there is no mystery to it. I read a lot of confusion over that in the forums.

What part of putting "spoiler tag" do you not understand? Some people have not watch ROD yet and they don't want to hear about statue or other stuff that can ruin their fresh experience.

Actually, for spoiler warnings, just use:

[spoiler] This is a spoiler [\spoiler] as BBCode is a much better alternative than asking people to cover their eyes.

EDIT: well sh*t.. I turn off BBCode so I could show someone the tags and then I try to add [quote]'s.. blonde moment for the day... sheesh.

More ROD is always welcome in my book being a fan of both the OVA and the series.
