Dissidia 012 - Looking very sharp so far. Besides, I've always liked Laguna, so this seems to it'll be some good fun.
Type-0 - VERY impressed with it. This game has been on my radar since the last big trailer, and with this one, even more so. This is the Fabula game to watch out for.
Versus XIII - A Tetsuya Nomura game. Therefore, I couldn't be bothered to even ponder of giving two shits about it. Looks pretty though, if that amounts to anything.
XIII-2 - This is just a teaser that...well, tells nothing really. Looks purty.
Kingdom Hearts 3D - Okay, seriously. This series just needs to frakking die already, and Nomura needs to have his dick cut off for crapping out another abomination.
Moon Diver - ...Huh. Looks pretty fun, actually! :3

Ugh, Nomura. VII was stylish and sleek, but he went crazy with his love for belts and j-pop until the series degraded to XIII, which was a bunch of incoherent ideas sloppily put together. No one wants to see twenty belts and two hundred zippers. It was cool back in 1999, but now it's just cliched and awful.
I am surprised about Versus XIII though. The two hundred Kingdom Hearts spin-offs seem to be taking up most of Nomura's vomit, so naturally, Versus XIII actually looks good. Noctis seems to be wearing a fairly normal black outfit, and Stella has a plain white dress. With no accessories. Versus XIII is like a tolerable version of Kingdom Hearts.
And about Kingdom Hearts 3...D LOL YOU THOUGHT WE'D ACTUALLY MAKE A MAIN SERIES GAME?!?!?!?, I am naturally not going to buy it. I stopped buying KH spin-offs long ago.
XIII-2 might be worth it if it fills in all of XIII's plot holes. And if it has towns. And exploration.
Type-0 looks really good. So very un-Final Fantasy-like, but in a good way, unlike XIII.
Dissidia is just Dissidia. I'll play it for a week and never pick it up again. It's only worthwhile because Square Enix focuses on FF games that aren't IV, VII, X, or XIII (why do the pimped out games always go up by three? seriously? those four FF games are the only ones to get sequels. and characters from those games are prominently featured in 012. coincidence, or not?).

Sigh.....
.....looks like Traverse Town is going to be in Kingdom Hearts.....AGAIN.
I stopped playing KH after the second one....but seriously.
Almost every commercial for every spin-off Kingdom Hearts game I've seen has recycled Traverse Town....
WHY?!?!?!?!?
I actually would buy a new KH game if it was fresh like the first or second one for PS2 (both which had really awesome game play).
DARN YOU TRAVERSE TOWN!!! DARN UUUUUUU!!!!

Dissidia 012- Plots's crap, graphics are off-putting & gameplay is subpar, IMO. Fanboy pandering at it's best; not interested.
Type-0- Interest piqued! Surprisingly, I'm not dramatically impressed with gameplay, but the plot seems straightforward as well as provocative & poignant (for an FF title). A bloody chocobo? 'Nuff said!
Versus- Definitely not your run-of-the-mill FF (which is a good thing). Characters seem more natural, setting is modern, music score is intoxicating, and gameplay seems flashy & fun. Granted that your typical young, pretty, brooding emo protagonist is present, and next to nothing has been revealed plot wise, the visuals alone has me begging for more. I'll be keeping a close eye on this one.
Kingdom Hearts 3D- When a franchise has more half-assed sequels than main installments, something is wrong. On to the next one!
Moon Diver- The music hurts my ears and the characters couldn't look more cliched than they do here. Having said that, I can imagine myself playing about an hour or two of this, just to kill time.
XIII-2- First one was good, not great. Plot was a convoluted mess, and the characters were either annoying or boring. Graphics and battle system saved the game for me. Sadly, the teaser didn't necessarily had me thirsting for more info behind this sequel. In all honesty, it looks like a cash cow for SE to milk dry.

Actually, you should check out Birth by Sleep for the PSP, then. Traverse Town is not in the game, and the only returning worlds are Disney Town (the actual town, not just the castle), Olympus Coliseum (of course), and Neverland (new areas from before). Well, there's kinda another area, but that's major spoilers. The battle system is much cleaner than KH1 or KH2s (it seems to be a mixture of KH2, CoM, and 358/2's system, and it works). Plus, while it might not be numbered, it is considered part of the official timeline, and it is the game that was previewed at the end of KH2, and it has a preview for (presumably) the next main game as well. It's by far my favorite game in the series, and I've played all of them.

Birth by Sleep is a spin-off. End of story.
Counterargument? Nomura said so.
Nomura said so? LOL! Even more reason to say it's a spin-off. If everything went according to "Nomura said so", you wouldn't HAVE Kingdom Hearts 3 ever.
...Oh wait...

Nope. It's really, truly, honestly, a "main game" in the series. It has all-new characters, an all-new battle system, all-new worlds, mostly new music (there are SOME recycled themes), was previewed as the next "main game" in KH2 and KH2:FM, and is just all-around awesome. I think it's a better game than KH2. Though the official name is Birth By Sleep, it is sometimes referred to by another name: Kingdom Hearts 0. Evidence that it's NOT a main game? It's on a handheld and you don't control Sora. ..... ...... all things considered, I will label it a "main game" any day of the week. Now, KH 3D? THAT is a spinoff. Still, it looks like a very decent spin-off, cut more from the cloth of Re:Chain of Memories than from CoM, Re:Coded, or 358/2 Days.
Anyway, Final Fantasy Type 0 is stylistically giving me major FFVIII vibes, which is a very good thing. The battle system looks decent-to-good, but the style of the game is the main draw for me. I will definitely be getting this one.
Final Fantasy Versus XIII is another story though. I love Nomura's work, and I think KH is great, but this one looks a little too realistic (art style, not gameplay). I think I even spotted the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building! Plus, the whole pallete seems to consist of blues, purples, and blacks. It looks like you wouldn't even be able to PLAY this game during the daytime hours without a thick curtain for want of actually seeing the TV.

I gotta agree with BleuVIIM. Kingdom Hearts spinoffs like coded and chain of memories tend to recycle storylines, designs and other stuff from previous games, but BBS only contained new things and all of them appear to be one of most important parts from Kingdom Hearts III (which appears to take longer than a Shenmue sequel to make)

KH: Parkour Edition!
I get tired of the various side stories and recycling of old game too, but I guess these spinoffs are better than nothing over the spans of 5 or more years in between numbered games. And its not like they're putting off KH3 for the side stories.
Dissidia looks cool and it's nice to see another two characters added. One looks like Gilgamesh, but does anyone know the elf(elvaan?) was? Maybe from XI, but that's the game I haven't played...
Do any of the other FFXIII games actually have any connection to do with XIII?(besides the sequel obviously)
Does the renaming to type-0 mean that it's completely unconnected?

Mmmm... Spin-offs, nice. You know something is wrong with a series when the number of spin-offs is greater than the number of main entries. When was the last numbered KH again? 2005, you say? This is the very definition of the word milking.

The only connection between the titles is the underlying mythology. All games under the Fabula Nova Crystallis compilation share the same Crystals Mythology, including type-0. Each dev team is free to interpret the mythology in any way they see fit. Characters and settings are all a stand alone experience in each installment.

Type-0 is suppose to be the beginning of a sub-francise under Final Fantasty. Though in this case, type-0 is still a FNC title, following the Crystals mythology.
Make sense of that, if you will.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is, I'm sad to say, non-existent.
ANYWAY,
Versus looks totally gorgeous and the gameplay seems to be what could have been Kingdom Hearts 3- AHEM! I mean that the gameplay seems to stand as far away from XIII as possible. Not that XIII's battle system was bad, but this could be an indication of exploration possibilities and no more "hallways". Linear + FF just wasn't cutting it for me.
Type-0 has my interest as well. That's about all I can say for it.

Everything you just said, you directly quoted from Nomura.
Meaning...Birth by Sleep is a hollow spin-off just like the last five dozen Kingdom Hearts games.
Sorry, but unless we see a proper Kingdom Hearts on a proper console, it's a spin-off. I couldn't give five or six shits whatever pretty term he coins, "Kingdom Hearts 0", it's still from Nomura's mouth, meaning it's bullshit, meaning it's a spin-off, meaning he's milking it to death. I won't have a bunch hardcode Failmura fantoids who've never played anything but Kingdom Hearts try to prove it otherwise.
FYI, not saying you're one of the hardcore Failmura fantoids who've never played anything but Kingdom Hearts, but their arguments usually regress into his direct quotes.
Unless it's specifically titled "Kingdom Hearts 3" or "Kingdom Hearts III"...it's a frakking spin-off.

I don't know how it's possible to have a personal Fan-canon for something you despise, but it seems John Casey somehow managed to pull it off

I really hate repeating myself: If it isn't Kingdom Hearts 3, it's a spin-off.
What in the Joe Pesci's sake does "fanon" have anything to do with that little fact?
