Does anyone have any information on a voice actress named MAKO? (Spelled just like that, one name, all-cap latin characters.) A lead female character in the new Hideyuki Kurata (R.O.D) series “kamichu!” is credited to MAKO. The only Mako in the Encyclopedia (with just one name, anyway) is Mako the Hollywood actor (Mako Iwamatsu). It’s not impossible that a seventy-one-year-old man would do the voice of a girl’s character, but it certainly would be creative casting.

This Mako does the voice of the character "yurie hitotsubashi" in the TV series "Kamichu!" (5356).
http://www.sonymusic.co.jp/Animation/kamichu/staff.html She is a member of the musical group "Bon-Bon Blanco". http://www.b3tv.info/ The encyclopedia will need a second Mako entry to allow her to be added correctly. Otherwise, sooner or later someone will credit this to the male Mako (Mako Iwamatsu) who is already in the encyclopedia. chris keck |
