It'll be surprising for me to see this one turned to an anime movie. I've been a Highlander fanatic before anime. Definitely the Highlander theme Princes of The Universe by Queen's gonna be there. |

I have a vauge memory of a while back, maybe over a year ago ANN reporting that a Highlander anime was on the way.

I would assume 2006 since it's an American cartoon being done by a Japanese studio in the anime "style". (edit-The press release actually says "The new Highlander is targeted for U.S. release in the spring of 2006.") (edit again) This should be really good regardless of where it comes from. A famous anime director and an original movie writer along with Kevin Eastman and Joe Pearson, and animation done by Madhouse, what's not to like? Unless of course you just don't like Highlander. Can't be worse than the old "okay at best" Highlander cartoon from 1994. Emerje |

I remember loving that Highlander cartoon.

This looks interesting! I have been a fan of Highlander for years and would like to see how they will adapt it into an anime movie. I'll definitely buy this when it comes to the US.

They're making A Highlander anime. I don't know if I should be happy about this usually i'm pretty happy about sequels and remakes of both good and bad movies and since this is anime I should be shaking with excitement but, I don't know if this is a good idea. Anime and the Highlander movies are both great but I don't like the idea of them coming together sure it would be great publicity but something about just rubs me the wrong way. Don't get me wrong I love seeing movies added-on to or remade i'm even happy about the warriors being remade but for some reason I don't like it. Anyway this is just my opinoin.

Hell, all they need to do now is toss in the QUEEN song and we're in business ... yeah, I remember this announced a while back, but it kinda disappeared... I was sort of scared that they abandoned the idea *there's a new live action movie coming out right?* |
