Nothing for me. I stopped collecting Bleach a long time ago. Viz's dvd schedule is a barren wasteland Laughing .

...Does it really make sense to place out the individual volumes of Pokemon D&P, but at the same time place out the boxset? o.O Why not just place out the boxset, Viz? -boggles my mind-

Anyway...I guess I'll be sticking with Vampire Knight Guilty, and possibly Naruto Shippuden Boxset 6 - this still has some of the filler episodes in it, doesn't it? I'm trying my best to avoid the filler sets as much as possible to save space on my shelf.

It has fillers, and it also has the beginning of the arc with Azuma and Shikimaru: one of the best arcs in the series so far, IMO.

Meh, as long as it's not ALL filler (I think that's Boxset 5 then), I'm good then. Thanks.

Wonder if those Honey & Clover and Nana sets sold well for them... I'm guessing no? Wish they would distro some other noitaminA titles.

Viz is good for manga releases at least, but I agree their anime releases do leave a LOT to be desired.

Even then....

Most of the manga stuff they have that I'm interested in either A takes way to long to come out (6+ months between Claymore releases comon!) or B is super-hard to track down like Monster or Evangelion.

While I do agree that manga publishers need to find a better way in keeping those volumes in print (a chief complaint by Shawne on the recent ANNCast), the reason some titles like Claymore have such long breaks between volumes is because of their release schedule in Japan. Claymore also gets released every 6 or so months over there, so it's not their fault. You'd have to check on a title per title basis to check out what's the deal.

Yeah I realize that's an issue as well, but with Claymore their still a good 2 books ahead at any given time so I think Viz could still be a bit quicker. Yen Press at least keep pace with titles like Yotsuba, it would be nice if Viz could do the same. On the other hand they are going through some tough times so they probably have other priorities and who knows what limitations they have on them from the Japanese side. As a fan of Claymore though I guess I just get antsy between the 6 month waits lol

One thing I would love to see Viz and other companies do is more omnibus editions with manga. One of the reasons I don't buy manga is I see what is often 20+ volumes on the shelve and run for the hills. If they took titles like Monster and Berserk and complied those into 2-3 books I would pick those up in a heartbeat.

Actually, being two or so volumes behind isn't too bad. To me, that's a good way to have some space just in case there's some snafus with publishing or distributing or something like that. Now being five+ volumes (usually comes from having the 6+ month schedule) behind, that's where I get annoyed since I don't think there's any reason to be that far behind.

However, I think Viz is starting to get better with a couple of their releases. I know Tegami Bachi was on a 6-month schedule, but Viz is releasing Volume 4 in Feburary and then Volume 5 in May, so it makes me wonder if they are trying to play a little bit of catch-up (if I remember correctly, TB was about 6 or 7 volumes behind).

Let's hope they start doing the same thing with Bleach. I know they publish it in the magazine, but the volume releases are way behind Japan... Sad
