Here's a question for you.
As I'm sure a lot of you know (if not all) Naruto is going to be coming out in English dub so which anime VA's do you think would suit which characters? Steven Jay Blum has confirmed he will be the voice of Kakashi so that has already been answered for us

Why would there be a thread about voice acting in the music section? This is about the anime, not the sound track.

That's right, this thread should be redirected to here instead. Not sure what Godaistudios was trying to do there...  . Or, seeing as how the original poster edited their post 2 times, she might've just changed the subject from favorite songs to Naruto voices.

Seeing as Vic Mignogna (Ed Elric) is trying so hard to get a part, who do you think he would be best as? I, personally, can't think of anyone, unless it's a genin.

I still think Richard (Inuyasha) Cox would be perfect for Naruto.
Don't go around saying that he sounds too old because he doesn't. |

Then what's your reason for choosing him? And don't say "just because he's perfect" because he's not. His voice is good for those characters that can be both the good guy and ocassional immature bonehead, but Naruto isn't anywhere near the level of Ranma Saotome or Inu Yasha. Naruto's still a kid who probably hasn't even reached half his full potential as "the hero" yet. His immaturity is also expected around that age (12), while the two characters Cox had previously voiced should at least be 15+ plus years and past puberty, meaning past the age of everyone expecting you to stop acting like a kid and more like a teen. Of course that part is probably due to how Takahashi-sensei wrote those characters, but the point is Naruto's character is different from the people Cox usually portrays. His voice would just be too difficult to capture the innocent ignorance that Naruto has and I think it'd be better to cast either a guy with a young voice or a woman who can sound like a very energetic boy. |

That is why my number one choice for Naruto is Mona Marshell.

I guess so. I can't really think of anyone else from that pool of VAs, though the only roles of hers I actually remember are Tsukasa and Jim Hawking. Didn't like her Tsukasa all that much, but her Jim was great. I suppose if she uses her Jim voice and manipulates it enough to be kind of hyper and angry when need be, she might be able to pull it off fairly well. |

Oops, sorry. Well, Brianne Siddall's a good choice too  .
As for Ms. Marshall, uh.. I haven't really heard enough of her. She did a great Toboe in Wolf's Rain. I think the voice she used as Nataku in X (TV) might be good for Naruto. Just add emotion and make it louder, and you might have something. |

Yes, that Nataku voice with emotion is perfect. I still rather see it in Japanese though. I was thinking eather Windee Lee or Lara Jill Miller as Sakura. |
