Well, you named most of the ones I know. Except for Rurouni Kenshin, which I like and you probably have heard of. The only other samurai ones I can name off the top of my head is Lone Wolf and Cub and Vegabond. If I can remember anymore, I'll let you know.

Wait, I forgot there is no anime for Vegabond or Lone Wolf and Cub. Oh well, the manga looks good though.

Personally, I'd recommend Peacemaker, that's a decent one

Let's see.. there's:
Peace Maker Kurogane Samurai 7, although it has been licensed but not yet released. Real Bout High School Jubei-chan Wrath of the Ninja That's about all I can think of right now, but I don't have time to write descriptions at the moment, so you will have to rely on the encyclopedia entries or comments of other for now. |

The manga doesn't look good, it's Fcuking awesome. On the anime side, the only 2 I probably will end up buying is: Samurai 7 (this is futuristic with mecha so you probably wouldn't like it) & Otogizoushi (this is probably more of your taste, even though u can stand) There better be a really good chipboard artbox for these 2 series. |

In the strictest sense... no. It's more of a parody of Samurai and rather comedic, but it's still a good series.

Well I'll definitely recommend Rurouni Kenshin. He IS NOT A SAMURAI, but a swordsman, nonetheless. I would also recommend that if you do decide to check it out, only watch the first 62 episodes of the series.
Afterwards, watch the Tsuioku-hen OAV. And while it is techinically a prequel to the TV series, it's actually supposed to occur as a flashback in the manga, and will make much more sense after seeing the end of the Kyoto arc. Trust me, you'll love the OAV after watching it in succession. |
