I have been watching Kodocha off and on and finally worked up to episode 43. I'm pretty relaxed about such things but I found myself unexpectedly disturbed about how that episode begins (and the prior one ends.) spoiler[Eleven-year-old Sana wakes up in a strange bed out of her own clothes and snuggled up to a 41-year old man she barely knows.]
Of course they play it up for a laugh and Sana spoiler[assumes she has been deflowered and plays the part of a "ruined woman" and then is relieved to learn otherwise. And it turns out the guy is really only interested in her welfare, but then plays along later when she announces to the celebrity press that they are lovers. ] Poor judgement to say the least. I had no problem with the child nudity in Kodomo no Jikan but this seems off to me somehow. Does anyone else have this reaction? |
