That actually sound kind of cool. It would also be cool if they made an Aliens anime too (although the parody they do of Aliens in Excel Saga is awesome!).
What does everyone else think?
Any other US Films that could be made to anime and would ACTUALLY be good?

LOL!!
I think a Terminator anime would be great! I'd also love to see Desperado animated (You can tell the Trigun Character Wolfwood barrowed a lot from this movie). If there weren't already a LOTR animated series of movies I'd go with that too. Mad Max? Honestly I don't watch a lot of live aciton movies.

Action movie (standard animation) - Minority Report
Action Movie (CG mix) - Fifth Element
Comedy - Running Scared. Most of you probably don't know this movie (early 80's). It's about two cops after a cocaine dealer. Lots of laughs as well as action.
Drama - Regarding Henry
One I'd like to see - If someone could make The Blues Brothers into an anime, they automatically get the Oscar for no other reason then the time and effort they'd have to put into making the characters motions fluid.

Escape from New York is pretty wacky and crazy, so it'll do well as an anime.
However...
Even as a joke, the "Every Hollywood movie would be better as an anime" statement is thoroughly wrong.

Jet, I have to agree with LB. Not all hollywood stuff sucks. Don't fall into that trap man. Anime is good, but so is some of the stuff from LA.

I'd want to see Battlefield Earth as an anime series. Wait, no, I'd rather have my eyes hollowed out with a red-hot poker. Most people feel that way..
and yet...
A Battlefield Earth anime series is in production as we speak. Go to hell, John Travolta.
Seriously though, I think a Gladiator anime would be really cool, were it directed by someone competent. And GATSU, Dude, come on, Jin-Roh has absolutely NOTHING in common with Minority Report. Yeesh.

the First ep of Cowboy Bebop had the character (Asimov) and the bar where modled off of Desperado. I think El Mariachi would be cool.

Oh yeah? What would be worse? A Hollywood movie made into an anime, or an anime made into a Hollywood movie? Both do exist, fine, but let's go to extreme here. What could you picture happening or dread happening?

A live-action Macross movie would be kind of cool, if it was done right. Although I am pretty sure it would end up being retarded.

According to the Anime Encyclopedia, the guy who directed Pi paid Kon for the re-make rights to use in Requiem of a Dream. I talked to Kon in L.A., and he didn't seem very fond of the Japanese version.

I think that I agree with Byronius on this one. While it would be great to see anime versions of action and sci-fi movies (anime OAV of Dune, anyone?) I don't think that many comedies and dramas would have the same impact as anime.
Honestly, would Young Frankenstein be as funny as an anime as it is?

True, but wouldn't it be funny (maybe a ad odd) if they did an anime version of American Pie? Maybe featuring the cast of Ranma 1/2. Actually, I'd pay money to see that.
