can anyone point the best anime blogs online? i did a search here and there seems to be no thread, so forgive me if this is something covered before, but i would like to hear your opinions on the sites which update regularly and provide screen captures of shows so i can follow what is happening in japan more directly.
I've been going through google searches onn anime blogs and theres something like 1.2 million hits, so this seems more efficient and effective. thanks... |

THe good ones tend to link to each other so you can start off with one and follow them around. Here's a few to get you started, in no particular order.

Ben Ettinger's AniPages Daily is the only one I read. Not many screenshots, but he talks about things that are usually skipped over by American fans and gives a lot of credit where credit is really due - that is, the animators.
Oh, and I guess there's always my blog (click the WWW link in my profile). Occasionally I'll talk about anime, but it's probably not what you're looking for. Still, I need readers, so I guess it's worth pimping it out. |

Also there's the Jusenkyo blog (despite the name, not just Ranma ½).
Ditto here. |

thanks for all the suggestions so far. i had been going through the numerous links in each blog i came across too, and they start repeating pretty soon so there are certain ones that are obvoiusly more highly regarded than others. nice work... thanks again.

Mine's at http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=OtakupunkX. No screenshots or anything (this is just basic junk that happens in my everyday life) but there's a lot of random anime (and gaming) reviews and junk that pop up from time to time.

As long as we're doing shameless promotion, if anyone is interested in writing on Japanese anime blogs for a site PM me. I'd write the particulars but I don't think I'm allowed and I'd hate to be banned . . . yet again.
