That Ciel Doll looks awesome! and it would be so awesome if they made a Sebastian Doll (If they did, I would be playing with it all day Anime hyper)

It's good to see Azone doing more male dolls. I'm curious to see what other guys they have planned to release (especially since this line seems to be oriented toward cute/moe characters).

I reckon that's part of the very nature of being dolls.

It's kind of inaccurate to describe Azone's earlier Pure Neemo's (for K-On, etc) as being in "ball-jointed doll form" since they don't use ball-joints (except for one spot on the ankle). They're all articulated with a mix of hinge and pivot joints, like this: http://www.laboutiquedelupi.com/blog/wp-content/cuerpo.jpg

That doll is beyond gorgeous! I want one so bad! I'd also like one of Alois, of course! Wink

So pretty... Bet he'd cost an arm and a leg, though.

Vesperia's flynn was announced, not yet released, nor a date set for release that I'm aware of (previews were just shown). Yuuri also hasn't been released yet (December release). Though I have natsume and it's gorgeous Very Happy

Wait... you're going to sell Ciel and not Sebastian? I can tell you which one I'd rather have staring at me from my dresser top all day... Very Happy

That's actually pretty cute! Not my thing but still that's adorable, much cuter IMO than a dolfie.

There's an error in this article. Since the doll is a PureNeemo it's not ball-jointed.
Also, this is exciting, I hope some day there will be male anime-style dolls that are of the same high quality as Dollfie Dreams.
There's also evidence that Azone's making a Kinoshita Hideyoshi doll, though whether or not that will be "male" is up for interpretation Smile

There are plenty of more "manly" dolls out there so I don't think that's it entirely.

One must note how effeminate this model appears, especially regarding the face. Does this constitute much of the appeal?

He actually is a doll, which is the appeal for me. He actually has soft textile hair and clothes. Not molded PVC or plastic, which is what keeps me from collecting them (I don't like the molded plastic hair).

Actually thinking of pre-ordering him. He is just too adorable.

edited to add: I'm wondering, since he is a doll, whether they will issue supplemental doll clothes and accessories (my guess would be a frock coat and top hat). This is the first doll in a new line, so it makes me wonder if they plan to do this going forward.

I'm already thinking of a way to justify buying this but that's the easy part. The hard part is, how do I preorder when I can't read the website? Is there an English vendor site I could go through or am I doomed to try to buy one (at greatly inflated prices) on eBay? If anyone more experienced with the doll scene could clue me in that'd be great.

Also, they've just got to come out with a Sebastian to match. I mean, it'd be foolish not to since they're a matching pair and it's a guaranteed sale (moreso than Ciel, I'd say).

Edit: I just preordered him through the English AmiAmi site. I decided that since he comes out in December he will be my Christmas gift to myself. Hope I'm a good girl until then. Laughing
