It doesn't matter if they bring N in. Pokemon will still be terrible until they get Ash out. He's been the protagonist for FIFTEEN years. Can he give the stage to someone else for a change?

Ya mang. And change Luffy, Ichigo, and Naruto while you're at it. pfft, who needs established main characters in long running popular shounen! >_>

^ Yeah, there's that. However I'm a game junky. To me Red is the Main guy. Along with the long list of other protagonists.

Was surprised they're bringing N/Plasma-dan in to the anime when I saw this last month. After Black and White's/Plasma-dan's lukewarm reception, I figured they'd just ignore them in the anime. I guess a little arc couldn't hurt. I'm more looking forward to Rocket-dan's return to goofiness than anything else, though. Christ, what a lame move trying to make them 'serious' was. Let us pretend that never happened.

The funny thing being all of them have zero personalities since they're just blank slate PCs in the games. There's little incentive to change Satoshi out because of that when all the characters with any actual personality are the side characters which the anime does use. That's ultimately the problem with silent protagonist games turned anime adaptions.

Honestly I don't really want to have N in the anime. It just ruins the whole impression of the show.... somehow.
And suddenly it's BW2 judging from the Plasma outfit and the appearance of Colress. And what about Iris who became champion in BW2? I just want to see her mocking Ash, who is still 10 years old despite of having 15 years of journey, and of course, is not a champion.

Can we just have a JoJo's Bizzare Adventure like adaptation of Special instead?

Special isn't very good TBH, and given it's not very well received and sells poorly so that's unlikely. All the complaints about Satoshi still being a kid makes me wonder if they've ever watched a long running series before. Last I checked Luffy was still a teenager and One Piece has been running since 1999. Detective Conan is still a kid and his show's been running since 1996 as well. Doraemon's anime premiered in the 70s. Wowsers!

Well, it'll be quite interesting to see how well the adventurers' will fare with their encounter with N and Team Plasma. I really can't wait to see what will occur when Ash and friends cross paths with this enigmatic organization.

Are you kiddin'? It's not like he's the *only* character on a journey and I'll be damned if his journey just suddenly ended. Pokémon is a fantastic show, not only do you see Ash evolve but you see his friends (Human and Pokémon) grow too. And the way it adapts to the games is simply fabulous!

Like how they are naming the seasons now, like PUSA does. I wonder if this is a response to boost ratings or this was what was intended from the two-parter that never got to air.

They already covered this a few months ago in the arc where Iris returned to her hometown, actually.
Also any kid being Champion is a long way off. That stuff takes years to do and is a rigorous process. It's not a cakewalk or straightforward like it is in the games. Especially when you have hundreds of other people competing against you. But he doesn't really want to be Champion anyway so it's kind of moot.

Doesn't that sell about 35,000 a volume? I wouldn't count on any company bothering with an anime adaption of a series based on a huge franchise pulling in those numbers, let alone a long-running one.

It's probably more of a case of "We just finished this series' league and need a story-line to pad out the episode until the next generation"

Only if we can also forget that horrifying radio show too.

@Nandosagi
I...didn't know that Pokemon had a radio show...
If anything, I don't even recall that I've ever heard of Pokemon having its own radio show...When was that?
