The Homeroom Affairs anime is listed as "pornography", but I don't think that is correct (there wasn't any way to enter an error report for the objectional content rating). While the anime had a lot of nudity and suggestive content, there wasn't any actual on-screen sex, and there weren't any images that would require censoring to comply with Japanese law. Also, it was certainly tamer than some other anime that aren't considered hentai (such as Minna Agechau or Aki Sora). I believe that Amazon Japan also doesn't list it as hentai (Here is the entry for it). At least I think Amazon Japan normally lists hentai titles as being adult titles, and I didn't see anything on that page saying it was an adult title. I think the objectional content rating should be changed to "Intense".
Also, while I'm posting about this, the manga version (Tanin no Kankei) says it was serialized in Jets Comics, but I believe that is an imprint for Tankōbon, not a magazine. A Google search suggests to me that it was actually serialized in Young Animal (the Jets Comics imprint is used for Tankōbon for manga that was serialized in Young Animal). I entered an error report for that, but I just thought I would bring it up while I'm mentioning the series. |
