Man, can't wait for that new Angel Beats epilogue. Wish I knew what they were saying in the promo, though... That series needs to get licensed ASAP!

Whatever they are saying, they are SUPER excited about it. I really really really really hope it is a "they all meet in the real world and hang out" epilogue. Because that would be the shit. |

I honestly would be fine with this as this would solidify the 'reincarnation' theory but at the same time, I'm not expecting this to be the only possibility. The OTHER chance is that we're gonna see a little snippet or chunk for everyone in their 'paradise' if you will, the epilogue purely being a sort of thing to let the fans know 'everyone's happy and okay' sort of thing. But if they do go with them all being reincarnated back into the real world, I'd welcome it. It would be nice to see them all reunite. Hell, maybe the episode will begin like that right off the bat and we'll see them skip over a few couple years as they grow up. More importantly, I'm seriously hoping for a 'teaser' at the end. Something involving the in between world's 'creator' finally meeting his lost love. If Kanade was able to pull Yuzuru into the world, I would hope this guy can get the same. |

Wait... reincarnation "theory"?
How in the world could the show be anything else but reincarnation? Anyway, I just hope it's actually something with meaning, and not just a tacked on 3 minute meaningless "epilogue" as PA Works did with True Tears. |

Well, Funimation, you're finally bringing out Oh! Edo Rocket. Congratulations. Now when are you letting us know what's up with Kuragehime?

I never read the Kamui Gaiden manga, but I'm a sucker for historical dramas with appropriately scruffy costumes. I'll probably pick up the DVD.

ANGEL BEATS WHOOT <3 *eagerly awaits*
...by Funimation, you mean~ I'm sorry, but I strongly believe they're the only ones who could do it the justice it deserves. (Plus, that means we'd get all the episodes on one DVD! *squee* *starts to plot dream cast*) EDIT: I got Cherami Leigh for Yuri, Jason Liebrecht for Hinata, and, for some reason, I can see Brina doing a pretty good Kanade. (I mean, think about it! She's done higher-pitched voices before, and if she did the whole whispery thing, it'd be golden!) Dunno. Feel free to add~ |

"This video contains stuff from Funimation whom have racistelly blocked the people on your country from viewing or even taking a peek" is what that dark-skinned fella at work who brought over a lawyer specialized in racism when we tried to sack him for slackment until I literally planeted some weed inside his locker to solve the situation would say.
I agree. |

There's where the problem is, because of the religious views of each user who frequented the AB! thread being varied and becayse MOST were open to multiple ideas or concepts of an 'afterlife' or simply death not being the end (those who were open to discussing it) it boiled down to two main ideas: The reincarnation theory, wherein the characters ended up reincarnated in the real world and get their 'true' second chance to live out a full life, being restored into the real world and becoming themselves again, albeit without any knowledge of their past life or experiences. Or, the 'heaven' theory, based on the concept that they ended up in 'paradise' but because everyone has a different concept or desire for their 'paradise' that they all ended up in different ones. Primarily, some supposed Yui and Hinata share the same heaven and Yuzuru and Kanade ended up in the same one. We'll see what happens once the epilogue drops in december. And sorry for bumping a week and a half old thread. |

Ok... so I'm bumping a WEEK old thread here. Having just finished the series yesterday-- a BEAUTIFUL series that I hope will come to the States soon so I can put my money where my mouth is-- I've been trying to find out as much pre-release info about the new content (which admittedly isn't much). And while I'm at that, I wanted to ask for a question of clarification, which I ask at the end...
Now according to a translation that member rrw from http://beneaththetangles.wordpress.com/2010/10/25/angel-beats-epilogue-preview-is-now-streaming/ did, the episode preview went along the lines of this. NOTE: To me, the Spoiler Tags here really don't seem necessary, as they make very little sense out of the context that has not yet been revealed (and don't even reference the last episode!), but I'll do it as a precaution to not being flamed: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ spoiler[c165]Let’s go! (Yui) [c84]This is what being young is all about! (Hinata) [c150]Awesome! [c100]Still no Honnouji Incident yet?! (Noda) [c77]Hooh!! (TK…… Waste of talent, for a guy that can speak in Kansai dialect fluently.) [c42]So good! So good! So freaking good! (Ooyama) [c168]Lemme dance too! (Fujimaki) [c236]Cuuuuuuute!! (Ooyama/Shiina) [c136]What’s with you people?! (Naoi) [c38]What a fiend!! (Takamatsu) [c272]Cute. (Kanade) [c140]Seemed like so much fun… (Otonashi) [c36]All of you, no food for a week. (Yuri)] Stairway to Heaven This special is in DVD/BD vol.7, along with Another Epilogue. On sale Dec. 22. [...] The limited ver includes the 2nd part of the Making video. [...] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ok, so if this translation is Pretty Accurate, and if we are to pile together the info that has been released so far... will the episode and epilogue be wholly separate? If so, could the OVA episode be something actually set somewhere in the middle of the series? And-- here's the question whose answer I'm seriously unsure about-- does anyone know if this is meant to be an additional ending (as an it's an extension of the original ending) or an alternate ending, showing a different direction the series might have taken at the very end? If it is not a satisfactorily cleared up ending with this extra content (as for once, I'd love to have a solid, 100% certain happy ending to a series with this much drama), I'll be a bitterly tearful man. |
