I wonder why they went out of their way to state that Vic Mignona wasn't part of the dub. That's kind of strange...

I guess I'm gonna go ahead and pre-order DRRR!! It's a little to expensive, and i wish it was two sets instead of three, but I love the show.

They most likely said it because someone from the audience asked if Vic was in the English voice cast... it was a Q&A session after all.

I think it goes without saying that if DRRR!! performs well then we'll be seeing Aniplex stuff brought over by them, such as Bakemonogatari. I'll probably pick up the first 9 episodes, as I feel those are the best of the series. The whole second half though was a major let down.

Aniplex said they're only releasing shows they have international rights to. Bakemonogatari sadly isn't one of them.

Now that's something I want to see.

Nice news about DuraDura's dub- I guess Kannagi must of done okay for them and Bandai since they're doing similar release formats (online sales via limited retailers) as that but now with a dub. And I'm curious if they'll release Mardock or sublicense it to another company like Sentai or Funi, though them showing it at the con would make me guess we may see it from them+Bandai

So will it ever get released!?! *Cries* They are really pushing it with their Read Or Die release though. $199 is too much for the suggested retail price.

It's kind of annoying that Aniplex USA keeps featuring the series in their promotional videos (since their parent company was involved in its production) when they don't have the international rights to it. I understand getting a rub off of its prestige, but c'mon. It's like dangling a fake carrot out front...

Ask Kodansha. It's probably up to them. I wouldn't expect much in the near future.

I was thinking the same thing, just swap the T-Shirts for key chains and you've basically got the same promotion. I'm sure a banner ad here at ANN is coming soon.

I heard it may be a while before Bakemonogatari is licensed.

Because many of us fans are tired of hearing Vic in a anime series. No one wants to hear Edward Elric all the time. =/

Edit #2 - Thanks for the correction Rukiia. Wink

Exclusive new art from Brain's Base will be created for the American Durarara!! release. The DVD set will also include five collectible postcards. Fans who preorder at the Bandai Entertainment or Right Stuf online stores will be able to purchase the set at a discount-- US$39.98 rather than US$49.98 --and may receive a Celty keychain, while supplies last.
Even though that seem a little expensive, I'm still going to gather the money up...

Thank God. Vic is always being used in anime (especially shows that lure in the jail bait). He doesn't need any more ammo to shoot out his religious views at the fans. I heard enough of it when FullMetal Alchemist and Tsubasa Chronicle came out in English.

Moving on, I can't wait to get DRRR!! on DVD.

Edit: No problem, Anime Remix. I'm just a perfectionist on character names so don't mind me. Anime hyper

Sorry, I had to correct that as it was bugging me.

He's not even a good Edward Elric.

All he's got going for him is he's handsome and has a decent singing voice.
