I still think something like Criminal would have been a better choice, instead of Marvel having to push super hero stuff constantly.
Glad to hear it doesn't disappoint, though. |

It seems like they made this decision on the strike while the iron is hot thought. Im looking forward to it. Batman would have translated better to me anyways. He's already a really emo angsty character all he would need is a mech and some aliens. Or he could do his martial arts training in Japan for a while.

Considering how much I enjoyed the first two movies, I imagine the anime might be as good or better. As long as the focus of the series is the trials Tony must face being Iron Man and the enemies he must fight.
Adding romance may not derail the series, but could make the series seem lack luster if too much is added. I am curious how this series will turn out though. Only time will tell and or a reviewer here. |

It really isn't Marvels choice in terms of Criminal, Brubaker owns all the rights to the series. |

I was really excited when I first heard about Marvel anime. But a little bummed it'll be going on G4, since I don't get that channel.
By this first impression it sounds like I'll enjoy it. Hope the rest of the series gets better. edit: Just saw a new trailer for the series on G4, Interesting. edit: I like the look of the suit from the 2009 trailer. And I think Tony Stark looks odd in the new trailer/series... |

That looks pretty dern sweet, if you ask me. The animation style is refreshing as well as the character designs. Anime character designs have become so derivative in the last few years, to me anyway. I like the realistic style and I hope this will prove popular enough for them to do more anime style American properties in the future. Good stuff.

Do we really need another superhero show? There's like 10 different versions each of X-Men, Iron Man, Spiderman, Batman (I KNOW that's not Marvel, it's still superhero). If I for some reason get the urge to watch an Iron Man of any kind, I I'll stick with Armored Adventures on Nicktoons.

I thought the animation and style was great, but the story didn't suck me in. I was left very meh after the anime (which I fixed by running off and seeing the most excellent Batman: Under the Red Hood). Also, I am unfamiliar with the Zodiac, and for a while, I thought this was the Brood attacking Iron Man.
It's also a little strange watching an American-based cartoon in Japanese. This might have to be an exception to my hard sub-only rules. |
