This'll make for some interesting character sheets, for sure. I can imagine every session devolving into an exercise in team-authoring hentai.

Yeeaaah. A lot of manga can't be approved for sale in Apple's itunes due to content, but they're expecting this to get approval?
Maybe Apple is letting up on their terms.

Really? That sounds rather restrictive. So it's just a case of choosing from a set of pre-built classes?

Yay, more filth. I doubt Apple will approve it though.

From what I can tell, the entire book is a character sheet. Each page turn indicates the stats after increasing amounts of damage. Ignoring the fanservice, it's a rather interesting idea for pre-made characters.

That's an interesting strategy and I think a good one: release the digital versions free and sell the books bundled with figures, which is where the real value comes from. I just wonder if the figures will be the strippable

Apparently these use the same system as the original Lost Worlds combat books, currently available from Flying Buffalo.

I'd welcome that age with oepn arms and hug it tightly.
Definitely looking forward to it. Hope it comes to the US soon.

That is true, but those that buy these books either don´t mind the fanservice or they simply like it. Personally I like it.

somewhere out there, there's another girl like me who's excited about this
I wonder what kind of figures they will bundle. I've been wanting to read Samurai Girls too. I hope they can bring more titles over as time goes on ^^

It's like the old "Ace of Aces" books. It's a two player game where each player decides which character they want to play and hands the character book to their opponent. Each player starts on a neutral page. Each player then decides on a combat maneuver and tells their opponent a number based on their chosen maneuver. Then each player turns to a page based on what the number their opponent stated. The page that is turned to reveals your opponent's current position whether they took damage or if they hit you or if you maneuvered behind them, etc. Game play continues until one player is taken out.
Basically a one on one combat between characters.

I wonder if they have thought to inform Flying Buffalo Inc. or Alfred Leonardi that they will be selling them in the US, in direct competition to them both. AFAIK Hobby Japan only lisenced Lost Worlds for use in Japan. They also seriously flouted that lisence when they made the audio tapes, TV series and card game.
Leonardi is the person who came up with the concept for Ace of Aces and Lost Worlds and FBI has been the main US maker of the books, though they have fairly liberally liscenced them (as seen with Hobby Japan).
