No, its an anime version of it.
Heres what the front cover will look like for its Uk release, doubt it will be any different for the US http://www.ukanime.com/images/kintarocov.jpg |

This an OVA of a live action drama and a manga series...
For a second, I thought maybe this was a new "Goldenboy" series. |

Meh, I'd rather see an OAV for this Saleryman.

That is Pepsi man right? I've always wanted to play a pepsi man game for the Playstation. You'd think with anime's popularity, Pepsi could throw him our way in some commercials or something. |

No, that's Ultraman, or rather, "Sarari-man Urutoraman" If, on the odd chance you've never heard of Ultraman, see here. -t PS: I gotta find & buy those figurines when I'm in Japan. Last edited by Tempest on Wed Mar 09, 2005 6:50 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Yep, from the "Salaryman Heroes" line. My favorite is the from Volume 3 showing Ultraman fighting a monster while his suit is neatly folded out of the way. I really hope Popy decides to do other heroes. Emerje |

I can honestly say I am very excited about this release. I myself have seen up to episode 12 and can say that it is very good. Similar to GTO, but much more serious and mature. Episode 3 in particular throws the show into a complete turnaround with revelations about Kintaro.
Can't wait! Finally I can see the rest of the series! |

This seems like an interesting show. I liked GTO so if its like everyone says 'like that but more serious' I think this will be right up my alley. Gotta love shows with business politics and the yakuza.

OK that was weird
That reminds me of Scott Adams' rant about how you can make yourself seem important in the office by adopting the language of real crises: "Fighting Fires", "heroic efforts", etc. Looks like Ultraman decided approach this from the other direction I've been told that I loved Ultraman as a toddler, but that was too long ago for me to remember... ... anyway, Salaryman Kintaro! I vote yes! |
