1. Spelling Sad

2. It contains the directors cut episodes along with the TV broadcast episodes for 20-24.

It's just a remaster :/

Well the "graphics" aren't any better, just cleaner looking. The remaster (or "Platinum Edition," as they're called in the U.S.) is just a really clear version, with no shaky screen, and richer looking colors.

I believe ADV also re-dubbed (which I absolutley don't care for) and re-subbed it, so it's better in both of those departments as well (if you even want to call their dubbing "good" in the first place). They also added a 5.1 Dolby Digital track for each language, so if you have surrond sound that's another plus.

And finally, they also added some audio commentary and interviews with the ADV people (which I absolutley don't care for, either) and the DVD count has gone from 8 volumes down to 7.

The Dub remained the same, as it was on the orgional verson, and the Directors cut versons.

The did re-subtitle it, but that was because some parts of it were off from the the orgionla japanese script. That was the only change to Neon Gensis Evangelion.

Get facts stright like I do anymore.

I could've sworn they re-dubbed something. Maybe I'm thinking of the Director's Cut episodes. Anyway, don't tell me to "Get facts stright." No one's "perfict." Smile

The next ep previews were redubbed to account for changing the mus to the original Japanese 30 sec clip, but there was only one line redubbed in the actual show for Plat.

OK, thanks for straightening that out and not being a jerk at the same time. Not like I know the dub really well in the first place. Wink

I'd agree, if I had the original series.

(Since all I had before Platinum came out were the two movies, though, this is my first time collecting them. Smile )

Some of the commentaries are good (I especially like the Tiffany Grant / "Brian Grenveldt" commentary in DVD Volume 4), but some were very odd or not enjoyable (the Spike Spencer / Matt Greenfield commentary on DVD Volume 1 was just both bad and bewildering -- Spike, on the commentary, just stumbled through it, continually not remembering many of the parts he's had over the years. I mean, on an Evangelion commentary, this is... not very good commentary IMHO. Rolling Eyes )

Thats freaking garbage! The original Voice Actors were amazing! It pissed me off when the movies came out and they changed the side characters too! Eva leave yourself alone! Why do people just keep messing with it. Go for the original box set.
