They got Occult Academy, huh? Coolness. I hope it's at least better than than the three rather lame shows I've just gotten through from this season... 20 minutes to find out I guess...

I'm interested in the occult academy thing (even if the name does irk me) but I'm not really sure about watching an anime based on such short strips :/

YEESSSSS, all my summer shows are being simulcast! Oh this makes my day (psss, CR, if you managed to get Soranowoto and Occult Academy couldn't you have gotten Senko no Night Raid as well?).

I wasn't interested in Occult Academy at first, but Osamu Kobayashi is involved in at least one of the episodes, so I will follow it.

Occult Academy is supposedly a 'school comedy' and that's a massive red flag right there. However, the fact that it doesn't exactly look like your typical school comedy makes me consider checking out at least an episode or two if it's streaming.

Just watched the first episode.... remarkably funny! I'd had some interest in this from the trailers, but at leas the first episode has the right level of tongue-in-cheek humor with some moments of horror thrown in. It's definitely not your typical "school comedy," which makes sense since this is not your typical school...
But before I sound too much like a company plant, I will say that I noticed quite a bit of repeated footage; it's not the lowest budget show I've seen recently, but it's not the highest either. I also worry that the characters will wind up being cliches. Still, the first episode was promising and I'll definitely watch the next.

I was interested in watching this one. I wish they'd pick up Mitsudomoe.

My line of thinking too. Plus I'd really appreciate it since all the fansubbing groups have seemed to have dropped it.

Just watched Occult Academy. It reminds me of Ghost Hunt, a decent mix of scary and funny and mystery with maybe a little romance thrown in. Plus fan service for both men and women.

If Tono to Issho is the Tuesday simulcast, I guess that kills my thoughts of Digimon ending up on CR.
Oh well, farewell fantasy...

From the buzz I've heard, that's because it got really boring and never lived up to the potential of the first episode or two. Of course, who knows? Occult Academy may have the same thing happen to it.

The possibility exists. yes, but at least Occult won't get dropped on account of "It's too boring"

Hence why amateurs can never truly replace professionals. Fansubbers only do things they have an interest in as fans, generally speaking. Pros will do whatever they are paid to do. Which is as it should be, of course; fansubbers are doing it for free, they don't owe you anything.
But yeah, I heard it got reeeeaaaallly boring. As in, there was an episode where these superpower-wielding Japanese spies in pre-war China went chasing after a stray cat. For a whole episode. If that's the case, can you truly blame a team for losing some interest?

Looking forward to Occult Academy. I'm not that big of a fan of the whole Anime no Chikara project. It's a great concept - I completely support more anime-original shows. The execution leaves a lot to be desired, though. (Okay, this isn't fair, since I haven't even seen Senkou no Night Raid yet. My family watches waaaayyy too many Chinese period dramas with the same setting, so I'm sort of tired of 1930s Shanghai. Sora no Woto was a bit disappointing for me, though. Guess I expected something different?) Occult Academy sounds really cool, though. Nice trailer, too.
