Wow... I feel I should see this show just to see what sort of thing Ouran High School Host Club was making fun of.

I liked La Corda D'Oro. I don't care how stereotypical it is, I believe it was the second Shoujo anime I ever really watched (first was Ouran), so the stereotypes didn't really bother me.
I actually liked the story where Kahoko began to get frustrated with being a "fraud".
And I really like Hihara!

Didn't know this was being released... Maybe it got decent hits on crunchyroll? Just bought vol 12 of the manga yesterday. I will say Corda manga >> Haruka manga, considering they're both based of NeoRomance games. The characters do actually develop in Corda unlike Haruka.

I'll have to check this out when/if it's placed on Anime Network on Demand. It seems like one of those shows that sounds interesting by description, but becomes addicting once watched (this is how I felt about Glass Mask, and now 9 episodes in, I'm absolutely in love with it).

This show is definitely worth watching if you've read the manga - the subtitles keep the honorifics and modes of address intact, whereas Viz' manga translation Americanized them. I don't normally fuss about that, but it really does have an impact on the relationships in this story.
For what it's worth, I also think that of the three shoujo game anime released here (this, Haruka, and Neo-Angelique), this is the most interesting. The characters are stereotyped, yes, but they have more depth to them than those others - a bit less cut-and-paste, if you will. It's no "Glass Mask," but at least it's still shoujo.

Yeah, but they pick up some spare yen (to pay for the sake?) on the cd of the song sold to fans of the show.
With Kentarou Itou (Renji/Bleach), Masakazu Morita (Ichigo/Bleach), Jun Fukuyama (Lelouche/Code Geass), & Katsuyuki Konishi (Kamina/Gurren Lagann), you only single out Reiko Takagi? Yeah, Morita was way more fun in Baccano as Vino, but still...
