I just heard this cool tune that sounds like something out of a 2D classic Shoot Em Up, (Kamui, Reflex, Raiden, etc…), or maybe from Mega Man X series or Ninja Gaiden on the NES.

Sounds only a little familiar. It may be from a Touhou game.

Yes of course, I've played & bought the Tohou Project - Project Shrine Maiden games like:
The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil Perfect Cherry Blossom Imperishable Night Mountain of Faith They're awesome shooters But it turns out that the tune is from Legend of Xanadu on the NEC PC-Engine Super CD (DUO) and its called Frozen “Tower in English”. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9ahecW_iP8 http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/xanadu/xanadu.htm From that series, I have only played and completed Faxanadu on the NES and it too had catchy tunes. I was told that the J.D.K arrange track of "Dawn of Makria" is quite good too. |
