I be a fan of ze metals, and I would like to find some more metal of the japanese persuasion.
"J-metal" bands I know of (or whatever) X-Japan Sex Machineguns Detroit Metal City (lols) VRAIN As you can see, I don't know many j-metal bands 
So feel free to try to point me in the right direction. Anything guitar-driven and fast is good in my book. Not allowed: Any sort of nu-metal or Angura Kei crap edit: almost forgot LOUDNESS |

There are very few of them, afaik. (those that are any good, anyway; most likely death, grind, noise, that sort of stuff)
Blood Stain Child is melodeath (kind of like Dark Tranquility). Gallhammer is an all-female black metal band (a tribute to Hellhammer more than anything else) Swarrrm is a death/grind band that is a bit more melodic that most stuff I've heard in the genre. You can always go to Encyclopedia Metallum, and do an advanced search for bands that fit the style of your liking. They list over 1000 Japanese metal bands: http://www.metal-archives.com/ |

Well for starters, I'd just try to put Loudness out of my mind all together. Also there is a list of Japanese Metal groups found here. Oh wiki, this there anything you can't find. Might I suggest Grief of War, I kind of enjoy Head Phones President, if you like death metal check out Ritual Carnage, And every anime/metal fan should check out Animetal (they do a little bit of everything). There are some other good ones out there. Just take some time and look around for whats good to you.

^ That's a list of Japanese heavy metal bands only, it seems. Either that, or sth else, because it's missing quite a few reasonably popular ones.
