Love Hina Opening scene

When I look at the opening of the anime Love Hina, I noticed that the presentation of the characters are very close to a dating sim (because it is a romantic comedy "harem" type). But it true that, on this anime, sometimes it's sweetened (censored) down the side "ecchi" because in the manga version, we see more panties in the anime.

That was exactly what Ken Akamatsu had planned.

Probably, for TV anime back then were not yet so "open" as of today.

Why at the end of each episode of the TV anime version of Love Hina, there are always comments about the hot springs outdoors ?
