Hi. I'm looking for some recommendations for good manga, because I went to the bookstore looking to read something new and was totally and utterly overwhelmed by the sheer number of titles they have. I had no clue where to even start looking.

I really like to read action - I'm pretty much addicted to Rurouni Kenshin - as long as the story and characters are good.

I'm not too into fluffy stuff like romance, but I do like to read shounen-ai or yaoi, if the story's decent. 'Decent story' is pretty much the qualifications for anything I read.

Comedy is good if it's strange.

If anyone can help me, and tell me some good titles, I'd be really super-grateful. Thank you in advance.

Hmm...well some popular shounen action titles are Bleach and Naruto. As far as weird comedy you could try out Excel Saga. A comedy series I really like although I wouldn't call it 'weird' is Yotsuba&. Genshiken is another title that always provides a good laugh. You could also try out the Fullmetal Alchemist manga. I usually also find Lupin The 3rd to be amusing and interesting and for another interesting shounen title you could try Sorcerer Hunters.

You'll probably enjoy Chrono Crusade too. It's full of action with only a hint of romance. It's one of my favorites, another great story that's gotten overlooked because of the flood of mangas on the market right now.
