...that has to be the laziest approach to a tie I've ever seen......and I'm mostly pissed because no one here thought of it first. D:
Also, plush headphones somehow seems like cheating. Other than that, looks like a phenomenal Miku costume.

This is official? Somehow I think it looks very cheap and not worth of the price. I think I have seen better costumes made by cosplayers.
The hairclips and the headphones are the most awful ones, I think

When cosplayers can make costumes like...http://www.dannychoo.com/post/en/26704/Black+Rock+Shooter+Beast+Cosplay.html ...it's not really fair to compare official ones to homemade ones. The hairclips and headphones on this are horrible(unless you're going to take them trick or treating in the cold )

I'm guessing most of that was sunk into the lights and wiring. The cynic in me also thinks overhead was included in that, but I would be surprised if it wasn't over $1,000

Wig sold seperately.
I remember seeing something like this on sale back in 2010 on Amazon. Clip on ties are for planks.
