Lots of questions >>.
Hmm I want to buy Saikano/Twelve Kingdoms, but I was wondering if there was a box to hold the dvds in yet?If I'm getting the whole thing, I might as well get a box to hold them in... I looked online but didn't see anything, or is there atleast a perfect set coming soon. Then I wanted to know if Eva:Platinum was really worth it? And can I please get an anime suggestion...I have some money to burn on new anime >.<. You might realize what kind of anime I like from this list >>. I already own: Noir(1-7) Pretear(1-4) Chobits(1-6) Love Hina(01) Last Exile(1-7) Inuyasha(9-12) Chrno Crusade(1-3) Azumanga Daioh(1-4) RahXephon(1-7 + Movie) .Hack//LegendofTwilight(01) Neon Genesis Evangelion(1-8 + Movies) Thanks. |

There is no box for Saikano, nor is there one in the works/ready for release. Same goes with Twelve Kingdoms, but if it's like any other Media Blasters series, expect the boxset release about 6 months after the final volume (Volume 1). Eva Platinum is a great release of a fairly good series, but if you're unsure, wait for the eventual brick/boxset release. The video and sound are leagues ahead of the old DVD release, and there are more extras too. |

Like you I already owned all of Eva before Plat came out. I was a bit skeptical when I bought the first volume, but I can't even describe to you how much better EVERYTHING about the release is. The video is so amazingly crisp and clear, it almost looks like a totally new series. The addition of the 5.1 audio helps in a number of ways as well, even if you don't have a 5.1 system. The extras have been great so far too. The commentary tracks are fun to listen to, if for no other reason then to hear all the VA's revisit what was, for many, their first or second series. Tiffany Grant's absolute obession with Asuka was rather fun to watch as well.

I'd Recommend the Following: and yes EDITORS there will be explanations . . . sheesh . . .
Hellsing: Because of the sheer badassery of the main character and the absolutely awesome soundtrack. Outlaw Star: Because the series is packed with everything from comedy to drama, and because i am a fan of space animes. Wolf's Rain: Only if your in a serious mood because there aren't too man laughs coming your way with this one. The animation is beautiful though and the soundtrack isn't too bad either. |

For recommendations - check the sticky thread: "What are your 10 Favorite and 5 least favorite animes?" Plenty of people talking about why this or that series is they're favorite and why. I'll eventually post something there.
I'm getting the Platinum Eva's as they release - they're great. And I agree that Tiffany Grant's Asuka obsession was fun to watch. I'm loving the GITS: Stand Alone Complex releases - also one I'm preordering each release (just can't wait for the eventual brick/boxes...). |

Last I heard on The Twelve Kingdoms, there was a debate on wether on not the series was popular enough to release a complete collection. They had decided against it. But as of December, I heard that they’re reconsidering. Like Steventheeunuch said it might come out in six months.
You have good taste in anime. I would suggest… Bubblegum Crisis - Tokyo 2040 - The Perfect Collection Check it out at http://www.animebathhouse.com/dvd/1d.htm |
