It seems that there is going to be a re make of the classic bl story Ai no Kusabi. I'm interested as to what people think of the new animation in comparison to the original aswell as what you are expecting from this re make. It's appearently 13 episodes opposed to the 2 episodes of the OVA. I find that to be exciting.

I saw that Toru Okawa will be playing Iason and Kentaro Ito will be playing Riki for the 2009 remake. Even though the original voice actor for Iason, Kaneto Shiozawa had passed away nine years ago, I still feel that he and Riki's original voice actor, Toshihiko Seki will always be the best. I really enjoyed Kaneto and Toshihiko's performances as the character leads of the original 1992 OVA.

I completely agree with you. I'm a bit skeptic as to how this will turn out. The previous voices are what have been embedded in my mind as who Riki and Iason are. It'll be a strange adaptation.
