Does this mean every major FF game will be available for the PS3 and/or Sony platforms in general for the first time ever in North America?
I recall hearing that FF3 didn't come out over here until a few years ago, when they put it out on the 3DS. It's good to see this game become more widely available.

The Article should clarify that its going on PSN as a PSP game... just saying PSN assumes its PS3 playable.

Kinda sucks that it'll be PSP only. I'm not a handheld player.
I'm still kinda miffed at FFIV only being PSP available through PSN, when a PS1 port was made and the PSP version is $29.99...

It came out on the regular DS not the 3DS.

There's a physical release in Japan. But what I want to know...
Is it a 3D game? Or are they going to make it like they did the FF1 and 2 PSP anniversary editions...?

It appears as a broken image (the little paper thing in the corner).
But I heard the English version was 3D? It makes me wonder if it's different because it's a PSN-only (an unrelated release) or if it's the same thing on both ends. I kinda prefer the 2D stuffs...

Its 3D, similar to the FF4 remake on DS.

Thank you. That's upsetting, as I've always wanted to play FFIII... but whatever. There are other ways to play the original.

it's sad how they can't make a decent new rpg
so they just keep releasing old stuff to milk the fanbase
I'm sure people who buy final fantasy on their iphones only play an hour or two but just buy it to own
edit: BTW, this appears to the JP FF3, not the USA one which is actually FF6

Uh...
No?
It's a port of the DS game. Y'know, Final Fantasy 3. Which was released in North America as Final Fantasy 3.

my bad.
I assumed most of the people here were old enough to have owned a SNES.
I was not implying the 'DS' version was different than the japanese version.

In America, FF6 was re-titled as FF3. Some people still consider it the "real" FF3 because that's what they played when they were younger. Sure, times have changed, but when they hear FF3, they likely are closer to FF6 than this game.

I know. I was just correcting it as they've fixed the numbering of the older titles with the re-releases.

I'm surprised people like you are still around. What do you mean by "decent new RPG"? How about explaning why you don't like the new RPGs Square Enix make? I'm sure that by "decent" you really mean "classic 8bit" or something. Square Enix just released Final Fantasy Dimensions and will release Bravery Default next year. The company makes one or two RPG games every year and you should be thankful for that. They listen to criticism, but not from people like you who just rant incoherently. BTW if you want a decent RPG don't even bother playing FF3. It's the worst FF in the bunch, with no story at all.
