Let's hope that means "Special A" will be shown Smile.

Gonzo and Funimation working together? No, color me surprised Rolling Eyes

This is a good thing though. And I guess those Strike Witches fans are in luck now.

Looks like Gonzo and FUNimation really are getting hitched. ($10 says Bones will be the best man.)

Now, if they'll just get Strike Witches already...

rofl good luck streaming the uncensored version without getting caught for loli porn. I highly doubt that they will acquire this license any time soon until people outside Japan and outside "real" otakus accept this fact. It is basically borderline Kodomo ni Jikan....it would have been essentially Kodomo no Jikan level except due to the OAD that came out in February.

So what of Crunchy Roll? Or is that a separate agreement, like Gonzo Japan and Gonzo US? As this might be a change things or not?

But I do believe that our distributors where pushing for legal streaming and pay-for downloads? So I would be sending the "Welcome to the Future!" message to the Japanese companies more than the American ones....

This sounds like FUNimation has joined as a content distribution partner like how Gonzo used to use Bost and still uses Youtube in addition to CR. i.e. We should be seeing the titles uploaded to Funimation's video service and partners around the same time as CR gets them. Someone from FUNimation really needs to clarify what this PR means though as it is extremely ambiguous. Crunchyroll never had an exclusive agreement to begin with so this shouldn't affect anything.

The "extended fanservice" version of episode 7 was something done by the type-setter of the sub group and not Gonzo, if that's what you're referring to. The usual DVD versions are no worse than what you can find on your average anime shelf space.

Since it will be months before the first 2 legitimately subbed anime will be released on DVD here, this is a good way to wait. Plus, the two series are still up on CrunchyRoll. Gonzo and Funimation really have a thing for each other. Good job.

Awesome news.

Let's hope this means we'll eventually get releases of Rosario + Vampire, Special A, Strike Witches, Shangri-La, and Saki.

I have and any good qualities it has is quickly negated by the fact that they're not wearing pants. If that weren't the case, show would be a lot more accessible to a wider audience and the WWII references would probably be better appreciated. The pantless factor has nothing to do with the story aside from appealing directly and only to otaku.
