Remember when trailers for games actually showed footage of said game?

You mean like this? http://youtu.be/Ozh2olIgNBU

Nah, Square has always banked on their pretty cut scenes to sell their games.

I can forgive that since the game is still playable in its current form and it isn't likely to see much of a graphics change.

Thinking about jumping back into this next week, assuming I've gotten tired of Persona 4: Arena enough by then.

What morons. Show some actual GAMEPLAY! If I wanted to watch cutscenes, I'd go watch a movie!

The game looks vastly different now. Everything was redone from scratch. This has cost Squeenix a lot of cash.

Remember that this game already came out more than a year ago. Square Enix didn't enhance the graphics (which are already amazing) for this v.2 so just look at previous video reviews if you want gameplay.

But of course, this trailer is pathetic. The woman basically begs you to play the game. I'll wait and see what the metacritic score is. If it's 6, like last time, FF XIV will probably be forgotten very quickly yet again.

Gameplay footage ALWAYS matters when it comes to a promotion for any game. To say otherwise just defeats the purpose of video game promotion.

The director stated in his last statement that he likes to show new content in waves. They started off with a teaser site, then the full site, the first trailer and then this trailer. I have no issues with new details coming out in waves. Give something to look forward to.
