I love Canti but on my current budget I can't justify paying that much for him. Anyone know if a good Haruko Haruhara figure was ever made? Now her, with a bass, and a Vespa, I would totally throw down 120 for that.

@ littlegreenwolf
Back when the show came out, Xebec Toys issued Haruhala Haruko as a figure. She is about 4 1/2 inchs tall. The figure came with a spare head (with goggles), guitar and guitar case (both with straps) and a yellow "cosmic Scooter. They also issued a red Canti about 5 1/2 inches tall. It has a spare right hand.
Also Takara issued 11 inch dolls (removeable clothing) of both Haruharara Haruko and Samejima Mamimi.
Note the spelling is from the box in each case.
Photos can be provided if necessary.

6,460 yen is not really that expensive. It only looks expensive because of the current bad exchange rate against jpy and the shipping cost. there are tons of toys
Those are many figures cost over 6000 yens.
I'm hoping for $1 = 90+yen in 1 or 2 years.

Unfortunately, an significantly improved exchange rate isn't likely unless the Bank of Japan decides to tank the Yen. It's far more likely for the Chinese state to start dumping its massive dollar hoard(thus taking on the role of the Weimar-era Reichsbank) than the Fed to stop bailing out the banks and the US federal government to default on its debt(neither of which is sustainable without a continuing debasement of the dollar).

Mine came out to $97, I guess because the price was a bit lower for preorders and I chose one of the cheaper shipping options (SAL unregistered). There aren't many figures I'd pay that much for, though. This one just looked like it'd be a quality figure, and it is. I also got it because when I was younger I ordered that old 5 inch Canti that was out, and it came broken, and the store didn't have anymore in stock so I couldn't replace it. I now have a whole Canti figure!!
Anyway, I love the heck out of this figure. Worth the price. Red Canti is cool, but dopey green Canti is just so lovable and endearing. I love all the accessories, but kinda bummed that you can't use the stand with the cape or the wings (especially since you want to make him fly with the wings!). But he can definitely stand on his own, which is great. The one thing that really makes this figure stand out for me, is that with all the accessories it has, it feels so solid and sturdy. I have several figures that have a bunch of parts, but when you put those parts on they always feel rickety, like all the parts will fall off if you move it around too much (Revoltech comes to mind). Not so, with Canti. Everything stays on pretty well, and you can still pose him and move him with everything staying in place.
This figure's so good I just might get the red one, if it's cheaper. Definitely a Rio:Bone fan now. I like that they seem to go for series that aren't necessarily super popular (Shaman King, Knights of Sydonia, Diebuster figures coming soon). They don't pick the predictable franchises, so I'm excited to see their future output.

Bank of Japan wants yen to go down. you can do some research if you don't believe me.

I know that(after all, it's not like mercantilism was debunked centuries ago), but I don't think they're apt to debase quickly enough to significantly improve the exchange rate(which would require they do so a lot faster than the Fed and there's only so much you can tax people in a short time before they start getting upset).

I'm definitely a Sentinel fan now. Expect us to keep an eye on them.
Also in response to the exchange rate stuff I want to be mean and remind everybody of when a buck got you 120y.
