After weighing all of our options, including suggestions from staff and attendees, Tekkoshocon has chosen the David L Lawrence Convention Center and attached Westin, downtown Pittsburgh, as our 2009 location. The convention will be held on Friday, April 3 through Sunday, April 5, 2009.
For our attendees who are not very familiar with the downtown Pittsburgh area, we will have detailed maps and instructions available in the coming months to outline the easiest routes to follow by car or bus, and nearby points of interest. And just because we've moved downtown doesn't mean that you’ll be facing extremely high hotel room prices. We have worked with the site so that hotel rooms in the Tekkoshocon block will be only $129/night, and we’re working on a reduced price for parking as well.
