Eww, that voice.. Japanese version please?

Also, what's up with calling a group of soldiers 'you ladies' as some kind of insult when some of them are women? Stupid sexist ..

Ah forget it.

Ok, let's recap: Mass Effect; BioWare; Funimation; Star Wars: The Clone Wars; and Ghost In The Shell...

Yep, this has TOONAMI written all over it. In fact it might even be the first movie they show in this new era. Might even try for November 3rd to make use of the extra hour...

I don't know, the Japanese cast for Dragon Age seemed to be bored at points and I am probably going to give the English version a go and see if they at least sound a little more enthused.

For those unfamiliar with the ending controversy, here's one I encountered in a place ya don't expect that's actually a regular down-to-earth explanation of all the hoopla:

Video

If only we can also convince some anime studios to re-do endings. Laughing

Meh. The animation looks pretty bad and the art work doesn't really seem to fit the universe. The guy's voice sounds forced, like he's trying to sound tough but can't quite pull it off. The dragon age OVA was terrible and this one probably won't be much better, but w/e. I guess that's all to be expected with funimation.

As much as I enjoy Mass Effect, I have very little interest in this since they chose to make it about James Vega, the single most boring squadmate in the games.

More boring than Kaiden? I didn't play ME3 yet, but I find that very, very hard to believe.

I'm seriously not understanding why this is getting so much hate. I was disappointed that Vega was the lead character, but It still looks fine to me. And why are people wanting a Japanese track? This a Bio Ware game. And also

How can you grade the acting of a whole movie if only one voise has spoken?

I'm a big fan of Mass Effect and I think this looks pretty decent. The art isn't perfect but it's streets ahead of Dragon Age.

Thats looks pretty bad quality wise.

And about Japanese voice - they actually can skip it altogether. Its not like Japanese are gonna watch it. After all they probably dont even know what Mass Effect is(when you look at the extremely low sales of it in Japan).

I'm not familiar with the Mass Effect universe, but that won't stop me from picking up this movie in November, especially if Production I.G. is involved in the animation.

Ew, no.
Why would anyone want to mix those things together?

That's classic military talk, basically just trying a rise out of certain soldiers who aren't "up to task" for certain duties. While more than likely this insult has died down, it's more than likely still used to an extent.

Otherwise, it's an old saying that's kind of sexist, but still pretty stupid.

Now, to the matter at hand....this doesn't seem all that strong of a title for me personally. The story may be there, but the way it looks and briefly sounds doesn't scream a "check it out now" feel for me. Definitely will wait a bit until it comes out to be streamed or at least shown at a con to catch it and then make judgment.

Glad to see they stuck with a traditional style of animation compared to the Dragon Age ova. I would have preferred several other characters besides Vega, but eh, I'll hope for the best. Doesn't sound like the same VA from the game though, was it really too much to get the same actor(s)?

regardless of everything else, i simply want to divert your attention to the fact that there are DINOSAURS IN SPACE ARMOR AND WITH WEAPONS in this trailer.
this alone should suffice to convince anyone that this just might be the best film ever made.
