What age rating would you give Monster? I request this info because my little brother is begging me to see it bu, I'd rather hear about the content first.

Sorry, but your initial question seemed pretty vague itself. I haven't seen the show, but seeing as how it's produced by Madhouse, I'd say 13+ should be OK. But just because I'm guessing this doesn't make me correct. Have you seen it? I'm sure you'd know your own brother well enough to judge whether or not he'd be able to handle something like that, right? |

No, no, and no. Unless your little brother is close to adult, I'd say that Monster is too much for him. The manga is worse, but even so... this is quite simply one of the nastiest horror stories to make it into anime, yet.
There are about a dozen anime that I consider totally inappropriate for anyone below adulthood, and this is one of them. I'm known to be permissive with regard to what I let my own children see, so my saying "no" should be taken seriously. - abunai |
