I Got a "New" DVD from FYE(Karin v. 4), it had bar code stickers on the front and back i thought they were all on the plastic wrapp but when i took it off the ones on the back were actually stuck on the case ?__? there were two~ One skinny one that was on the case over the spot where the bar code on the cover is, and the second one is a big one that is placed on top of the first one.
Is this normal? I've never had it happen before it makes me suspicious about the dvd, like they re wrapped it or something. ?__?

Well, I couldn't quite tell from your description. Barcode stickers on the outside of DVD cases aren't unusual... I have several Geneon titles I got from RightStuf like that. Usually just one sticker though... though any time a barcode changes on a product, rather than print up a whole new batch, just apply a sticker over it. Pretty common practice in the DVD/CD world.
Of course, we ARE talking FYE here... and they are... eh. I've seen some weird stuff from them. Though, their repackages are pretty obvious... if the shrink wrap itself looked ok then you should be fine.
The clincher would be if it is in the actual style of an FYE barcode sticker... they're pretty distinctive. And I wouldn't think they would have access to distributor barcode stickers.
Really though... it is only an issue of the product somehow appears to be in non-new condition. As long as the DVD looks clean and unscratched it seems to me like it would be a non-issue.

I ordered Karin 4-6 from Rightstuf and mine also had barcode stickers on the plastic packaging. It did seem unusual, but my guess was that it might have had something to do with the transition in distribution from Geneon to Funimation. Perhaps the dvd cases had already been produced and the new barcode had to be added to reflect the new distributor's system?

ahh thanks for telling me. I Just wanted to check. it had never happened before so i was a little concerned, but it seems the concern was for nothing.
I checked the bar code number, it matches funi-geneon release of the dvd. and Since the sticker is not distinctive, just a barcode and numbers. and the plastic wrap was intact, I think it's like you were saying~ it was likely from the transition.

Bingo- it's not uncommon for barcodes to get re-stickered to reflect a new distribution method, be it a company change or a repackaging (like 2 movies sold in a bundle.) It's nothing to worry about.
Lemon furniture polish helps get the sticker gunk off, if you're so inclined.
