Me no likee. Way I prefer to watch anime is, dub first unless it's just unbearable. If I really like it I'll watch it again with the dub, and the third time through I like to see it pure, untraslated. With DVD this is possible, but some companies hard-code the subs on so you either watch the dub or watch it with text on the screen.
The His & Her Circumstances DVD should be the future of anime DVD. not only are dubs and subs optional, but you have different levels of subbing for speech and onscreen Japanese text. |

The Kare Kano DVDs make me tingly all over!! I'm a person who likes my options open. That doesn't necessarily mean that I will choose a different option, but I want that there. Just in case I suddenly get the urge  Hard subs or whatever limit my choices. That's bad >.<
